11 Spending Bill Omnibus Package Unveiled for FY 2008 FundingOn Monday, December 17, 2007, the Congress unveiled its "omnibus" appropriations package, containing the remaining 11 spending bills. The Congress has until Dec. 21, 2007 to complete the FY 2008 appropriations process. The House took up the package and added funding for Afghanistan and additional amounts for emergency funding. The Senate is scheduled to debate the bill today on the Senate floor. Any changes will be presendted back to the House for concurrence and then sent to the President for signature ....
