President Ben Shelly Orders Flags at Half-staff to Honor Code Talker

Presidential Statement in Honor of Veterans
The Honorable Ben Shelly
President
The Navajo Nation
Friday, November 11, 2011

Many men and women have given their service by enlisting in the armed forces of the United States. Heroically they have sacrificed, some fallen, to uphold the freedom we enjoy. They have done so even as far back as World War I. In peacetime or during war, their service is seen as the bridge to our world today as we live free from tyranny and oppression.
