Navajo leadership participates in Coalition of Large Tribes quarterly meeting

WASHINGTON—President Russell Begaye and Council Delegate Kee Allen Begay participated in the Coalition of Large Tribes (COLT) meeting discussing energy development, public safety, transportation and health. COLT held its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in Rapid City, South Dakota. 

COLT is a partnership of federally recognized tribes whose land base is larger than 100,000 acres. Current COLT leadership is comprised of Crow Nation Chairman Darrin N. Old Coyote, chairman, Navajo Nation President Russell Begaye, vice chairman, and Shoshone-Bannock Tribe Council Member Marcus Coby, treasurer.
