Violent Gang and Gun Crime Reduction Program (Project Safe Neighborhoods)

• USDOJ, Office of Justice Programs (OJP), and Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)  are seeking applications for funding under the Violent Gang and Gun Crime Reduction Program, also known as Project Safe Neighborhoods. The program furthers DOJ’s mission and violent crime reduction strategy by providing support to state, local, and tribal efforts to reduce gun and gang-related violent crime.

• Tribes are eligible applicants. Tribes must coordinate their application with the local USAO, as well as provide a letter of certification from the local USAO for their application.

• This is a multi-year solicitation, applicants should consider applying for funding under this solicitation for fiscal 2014 and future year funding.

• Applicants must register with http://www.grants.gov. All applications are due by 11:59 pm EDT on May 12, 2014.
