Discussion on the Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder Resources for Native Americans

The Indian Health Service, Office of Tribal Affairs and Policy, Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) would like to meet with Urban Indian Health Organizations to discuss the Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder Resources for Native Americans. This is a new program, authorized but not appropriated, under the 2023 Omnibus Funding bill. This meeting will provide the opportunity for SAMHSA to share information about the statute and engage with UIOs. It is on October 19 , 2023.
