Description
The Environmental Protection Agency is proposing an action related to the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) from Crude Oil and Natural Gas Production Facilities and from Natural Gas Transmission and Storage Facilities. The EPA acknowledges the proposal has Tribal implications, finding that 112 unique Tribal lands are located within 50 miles of an affected oil and natural gas source, but states the action will neither impose substantial costs nor direct effects to Tribal governments. The Agency specifically requests comments from Tribal officials on this action, and comments must be received by June 22, 2026. The EPA states it will engage in consultation with Tribal officials as these rules becomes finalized and implemented.
