Proposed Realignment of the Indian Health Service (3/5)

The Indian Health Service has issued a Dear Tribal Leader Letter with enclosure announcing consultations on a proposed realignment. Specifically, the IHS is seeking feedback on three areas: (1) Delivery of Direct Patient Care; (2)Enterprise/Operational Management; and (3)Supporting Tribal Self-Determination. There will be four in-person consultations for Tribes and one virtual Urban Confer. It does not seem the in-person sessions have a virtual option. (1) Seattle, Washington on July 8, 2025; (2) Phoenix, Arizona on July 10, 2025; (3) Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 15, 2025; (4) Washington, DC on July 23, 2025; (5) Urban Confer (virtual) on July 28, 2025.
